Post 9 Officers
Dedicated to service, driven by purpose—meet the leaders of Post 9.
“Leadership is not about titles or ranks—it’s about service, accountability, and honoring those who served before us.”
At Brunswick Post 9, our officers are elected by fellow Legionnaires to uphold the values of the American Legion and guide our Post with integrity, commitment, and purpose. Each leader plays a vital role in ensuring we serve our veterans, strengthen our community, and preserve our traditions.
Meet the team behind the mission.

A Legacy of Leadership
In 1919, just months after the guns of World War I fell silent, a group of American veterans met in Paris. They weren’t politicians or generals—they were soldiers, sailors, Marines, and airmen determined to continue serving. From that gathering came The American Legion, founded not on rank, but on shared duty, mutual respect, and community responsibility.
That same year, veterans in Brunswick, Georgia followed suit—forming Post 9 to bring that same spirit home to Glynn County. Here, leadership wasn’t about titles. It was about action: organizing relief, honoring the fallen, mentoring the next generation, and building a better future for those who served.
Today, Post 9’s officers continue that tradition. Elected by fellow Legionnaires, they serve with humility, resolve, and the belief that true leadership starts with service.
