Three Paths to Join the American Legion Riders at Post 9

The countdown is on! In just over two weeks, Post 9 will host the organizational meeting for our brand-new American Legion Riders Chapter. Mark your calendar: Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Post 9, 4470 Highway 17 North, Brunswick, GA.
But the question is: which road brings YOU to the Riders?
The American Legion Riders is more than a motorcycle group — it’s a family, built on service, community, and tradition. Every Rider starts by joining one of the three branches of the American Legion Family.
🏍️ Road A: You Served – The American Legion
If you’re a veteran with honorable service during eligible wartime periods, you’re eligible to join The American Legion. That membership opens the door to becoming a Rider.
🏍️ Road B: You’re a Son or Grandson – Sons of The American Legion
If you’re a male descendant of a veteran (son, stepson, or grandson), you’re eligible to join the Sons of The American Legion (SAL) — and from there, the Riders.
🛣️ Road C: You’re a Spouse or Relative – American Legion Auxiliary

The American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) is open to all spouses (male or female) of eligible veterans, along with mothers, daughters, sisters, and granddaughters.👉 Family ties fuel the ride.
🏍️ Motorcycle Requirement
In addition to Legion Family membership, Riders must:
Own or ride with a street-legal motorcycle 350cc or larger
Carry valid license and insurance
Commit to safe riding, veteran causes, and community service
📅 Join Us at the Kickoff
This is your opportunity to become a charter member and help shape the chapter from the ground up.
